Formed in 2010, Dear Anna is a band who’s performances resonate with people of all generations, and who’s music blurs the lines of many genres.
The star of the show is Easton’s own Lorenzo Bubba. He is more than just a lead singer, guitarist, or songwriter. Lorenzo is an entertainer. Those who have witnessed can profess to his vocal ability, range, and charisma. His wild stage antics evoke the bravado of Roger Daltry while his voice ranges from MJ to Cobain in the span of a few moments.
The foundation of any great band is a great drummer. In that capacity, Dear Anna is fortunate to have Troy Ritter not only on the drum kit, but also as a founding member. Always one to keep an ear on up and coming music and artists, it was Troy who scouted Lorenzo and sensed the potential success for their collaborations.
That initial spark lead to the self-titled 2010 EP which included scorching indie rock in songs such as “Ready” and “Taste It”, as well as more cerebral tunes such as “Leaving”, and “Dancing”. While performing up and down the East Coast in support of that release, Dear Anna sold approximately 3500 CDs.
After returning to their native Lehigh Valley, the band continued to maintain a rigorous schedule playing the areas hottest venues as fans came to see the band’s energetic, in-your-face shows. Lorenzo’s acrobatic antics, and brutally committed performances kept audiences transfixed as the band shifted gears like a finely tuned racing machine.
2016 brought in some old friends as new members to the band. First to be recruited is James “Creature” Frank on the electric bass, who’s soulful ear and smooth lines make up the glue of the band. Guitarist Ben Lang rounds out the group as his stage presence and seasoned playing make a perfect folly for Lorenzo.
