Live Music

Join us every week for a pint, some great food, and live music in the pub on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, plus Sunday mornings during our Celtic Brunch.  Enjoy traditional Celtic music and a blend of contemporary acoustic music from very talented musicians — including Regina Sayles, Piper’s Request, The Rogue Dipomats, Richardson and Purcell…and many, many more.

We have been coming to McCarthy’s Red Stag since the very start of the bar. From breakfast to after dinner drinks, we always enjoy our time. Whenever family comes into town we bring them for a good meal and great live music. The wings are fantastic! Pair them with any of the whiskeys. It makes for a perfect night.

Live Celtic Brunch Featuring The King Brothers

The king brothers

Join McCarthy’s as the pair expertly performs some of the “brother” style duets of the bluegrass world, and the drives and tight vocal harmonies of traditional Irish folk songs. Instrumentally, the duet expertly performs in various combinations on guitar, 5-string banjo, mandolin, bouzouki, and tenor banjo. Their musical interplay at times hauntingly spare and beautiful, such as on an Irish ballad, and at other times a powerful drive of cascading notes that can bring down the house. Seen on festival…
